WHO WE ARE

Hi, my name is Catrin, Engineering Manager within the Total Reward subdomain in Ingka Digital (IKEA).

Ingka currently spends a lot on co-worker benefits, but co-worker awareness of and engagement in those benefits are low!

The business value we aim to create is to communicate our total rewards offer including salary and all global and local benefits, in a way that is clear and effective, available at all times, up to date and more.

By that we want our co-workers to appreciate and recommend IKEA as a great place to work!


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Today, most countries are using their own local solution and not even all countries have procured a solution as of today. The need and urgency for a global solution are therefore very much needed. And that is where we will come in.
Job specific key tasks and responsibilities
• Develop, run, monitor and support the assigned Product using the right toolsets required in order to deliver according to requirements.
• Deliver a technology service through automation and self-service capabilities for efficiency, availability and usability.
• Maintain the provisioning, life cycle management and operation of environments in order to fulfil the service commitments.
• Ensure systems compliance towards legislations, policies or other requirements in order to stay compliant.
• Responsible for securing functionality and availability during change activities in different environments.
• Support in creation of functional /feature specifications to improve the Product delivery.
• Build a technology system that is cost-effective and robust with respect to architectural conditions, minimizing error and down time, and ensuring a resilient foundation.
• Synchronize Product design and technical roadmaps by aligning key stakeholders with independencies towards Group Digital to ensure aligned outcomes.
• Apply and promote good engineering practices within an agile/iterative development approach to improve time to market and fulfil business needs.
• Provide support and guidance as needed to other engineers encouraging good practices.


YOUR SKILLS INCLUDE:

• Extensive knowledge of operations engineering practices using industry standard toolsets and processes. Common development concepts such as Git, CI/CD and working with REST APIs to enable engineers and developers to consume our services.
• Good knowledge of working in agile/iterative software development teams and with agile development practices.
• Strong knowledge of design and architecture concepts (i.e. microservices)
• Good knowledge of IKEAs corporate identity, core values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people.
