The Risk Management and Compliance function leads, steers and supports the business to safeguard the IKEA brand by identifying, anticipating on and navigating through opportunities and risks on the base of IKEA values and culture. Risk Management and Compliance function works closely together with the various organisational levels and provides support to; strengthen the IKEA brand and protect our assets, maintain an overall risk aware culture, steer and lead compliance activities.

About the job
The role as Risk & Safety Leader will proactively support the business in the region of North Europe with focus on risk management, safety, security. You are expected to be a valued business partner that drives for sustainable solutions, proactively influences managers and co-workers to establish a risk aware culture.
About the assignment
As a Risk & Safety Leader you are expected to work together with the Risk & Compliance manager to support the development of the business by helping the business to identify and manage risks. You lead and coordinate a Matrix organisation of local Safety, Security and Risk responsible towards established goals, within the scope of Risk and Compliance agenda, to ensure compliance with Inter IKEA Group Policies, standards and rules as well as local legal demands.
You will have the responsibility to secure a consistent standard and constantly work with the business to increase risk awareness. You will need to be a strong facilitator to be able to regularly perform reviews, follow-up and trainings in the business. You will work in partnership with the Management Teams regarding sensitive issues. Furthermore your tasks will be:
- Support the Inter IKEA units Crisis response teams when serious incidents occurs and initiate investigations when appropriate
- Taken the lead in investigations of ethics and integrity issues and non-compliance towards the Code of Conduct including preventive actions
- Act in a proactive way in identifying existing risks, analysing trends and emerging risks and proactively mitigate these, minimising impact
- Identify talents and develop people to secure succession planning
With strong integrity and IKEAs culture and values in mind, you are a person who is able to stay impartial and independent in order to withhold a high level of Risk and Compliance within IKEA Range & Supply. You have an extensive business drive and are strongly result oriented with a desire to continuously improve the organisation. You are an experienced leader who lead through others and are able to navigate a complex stakeholder network. You have extensive experience of change management as well as good communication skills. With your communication skills you are able to create relationships and trust on all levels of the organisation. You are able to work in both the operational, tactical and strategic dimension to be able to move the Risk, Safety and Security agenda forward. You are able to act decisively when in control of a high risk situation and remain calm. Furthermore we believe you have:
- Extensive knowledge of relevant health, safety and security policies, standards, rules, manuals, tools and working methods
- Understanding of IKEA Range & Supply business processes and customer needs
- Good and proven knowledge of the Risk Management Process
- Ability to transfer knowledge and strong facilitation skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Swedish.
