To be successful in this position, you should have:
•University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or corresponding.
•3+ years’ experience from an international organization, preferable within the area of IT Services and/or procurement.
•Good analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.
•Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
In addition to this, your knowledge and experience has given you a very good understanding of the dynamics in big purchasing projects and driving business on a global level with multiple stakeholders. We believe that you are a natural at building and maintaining good relationships with both colleagues and business contacts and that you have a strong business mind-set with an openness to change - looking for new possibilities and improve ways of working comes natural to you.
As a Category Purchaser, you will be the primary commercial interface towards global suppliers, execute category strategies and segment plans to support the IKEA Group on a global level. You will be responsible to drive supplier selections, build supplier relations and secure/develop/negotiate relevant terms and conditions. Moreover, you will drive negotiations of large scale complex agreements, where you, together with the IKEA team, will secure the best buy for IKEA.
An important part of your role is to build trustful relations with internal business partners and together you will develop the business. You will be responsible for driving the implementation of strategies and you will secure governance of strategic supplier relationships.
