The Unit Manager in Orla has full responsibility for all activities in Orla plant. The main areas are: safety, sales, supply chain, production, maintenance, engineering, finance, quality, environment, health and people. Plant is operating 365 days of the year.
The Unit Manager in Orla has responsibility to secure that the Orla unit is high-performing. Focus will be to speed up continuous improvements by engaging more of our co-workers and standardizing our ways of working by ensuring that the mindset and principles of lean manufacturing is implemented.
The Unit Manager has responsibility to achieve excellent operational performance and to ensure a strategic direction is established for the business. Your responsibility is also to secure that our Code of Conduct and IWAY standards are applied as well as other health, safety and ethical requirements.
Furthermore, the Unit Manager has responsibility to deploy the IKEA Industry People Plan by strengthening our value based leadership, developing new competences, creating an innovation culture to develop our workplace of tomorrow.
As Unit Manager for Orla Boards you will lead and manage an organization that has approximately 270 co-workers. You will report to Division Manager and you will be part of the Division Boards Management team.
Is this the right challenge for you?
To succeed in the role you need to have experience from general management in an international and business environment. You need good understanding of manufacturing and preferably previous experience from wood, panel and/or process industry business as an advantage. Your capability to develop relations internally and outside the company is important.
You demonstrate our leadership capabilities, build trust and partnerships for common business direction. You communicate in a clear and comprehensive way in Polish and English language. The position is located in Orla, Poland, some international travelling will be required.
