Job description

About the job

We want to fill this position with an proactive enthusiast who will drive multiple Business Intelligence projects simultaneously, and share our overall vision of “creating a better everyday life for the many people”.

Your assignment

  • You will be leading projects within IKEA, driving initiatives from business requirement gathering to implementation of Business Intelligence solutions.
  • You also secure resources and services with support from internal purchasing organisation You also secure resources and services with support from internal purchasing organisation You also secure resources and services with support from internal purchasing organisation.You organize, lead and manage people from different units and cultures. You will also be the main contact person for external parties on project related matters.
  • You will plan the activities to be done, follow up on execution and lead the implementation team along the journey of implementation.
  • You manage projects within set frames for scope, time and budget as agreed with steering group.
  • You are responsible to plan/coordinate the transition of the project into running business and ensure that it is fit for use by securing that all supporting processes and architecture are in place. This includes knowledge transfer, systems training and change management.
  • The position is a regional role and will be based in Kuala Lumpur.

Qualification

Your profile

  • You have at least 3 year experience on project management. Prior experience in Business Intelligence project management in retail industry is preferred.
  • You are meticulous, flexible with a positive attitude and equip with strong problem solving and communication skill.  
  • You are a team player and are open to taking on responsibilities. You enjoy challenges and find satisfaction in doing a job well in a fast-paced retail industry.
  • Good knowledge of process flow and familiarity of IT/Business Intelligence/datawarehouse systems is an added advantage.
