WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

For this role we believe you have significant experience, at least 5 years, covering Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager roles working in a multinational and highly structured environment. Further, you have experience from retail, preferably home furnishing sector.

You lead and inspire your team to optimise the shopping experience to secure satisfied customers and increased sales and profitability in your store. You achieve this using your knowledge of the product range, the local market, competition and customers.
Your leadership is based on performing and delivering while learning and developing in the business. You use the tools and expertise of your team and your colleagues to support you. In your strategies and actions, you always consider and steer the business in a multichannel retail environment, particularly the IKEA store and IKEA website.

o Analytical and numerical skills including managing of Cost and budget over a number of years.
o Experienced in guaranteeing the brand identity of the company.
o Experience in visual competence and visual expressing of brand identity.
o Ability to combine and identify commercial, aesthetic and practical skills.
o Ability to align customer needs and expectations with business needs.
o An Enthusiastic, Energetic and Passionate approach to the work, for your team and for the customers.
o A passion for home furnishing, retailing, design and how people live at home.
o Fluent in English and Italian both written and spoken.
o National Mobility on other IKEA stores.
o Availability to work 5 days a week including weekends / holidays

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

In this role, you are responsible for leading the development of the Commercial Area of your Store and for defining the Commercial Strategy to maximize growth and profitability in all channels together with other Store Functions and the Store Market Manager.

YOU WILL:
o Secure a consistent, seamless positive customer experience through all channels.
o Ensure your department managers and leaders have the right number of co-workers in the right place at the right time to run their shops successfully and ensure their co-workers are ready and available to serve customers and help them buy.
o Deliver and lead the commercial action plan for your store; taking input from the team and the matrix manager to ensure the department supports the achievement of the agreed goals for the country, maximises sales and generates sustained long-term profitability.
o Ensure your leaders understand the multichannel retail environment they are working in and know how to use this in the best and most commercial way for different customers.
o Know your local market potential and work with your team and other functions to ensure your store is locally relevant throughout the different sales channels.
o Analyse the qualitative performance and follow up your financial goals, KPIs and costs, and take action on deviations.
o Secure vitality and seasonality in the store together with the store management team and being the speaking partner of the Sales and Supply Support Cluster.
o Motivate and develop team members by agreeing clear goals, expectations and conducting follow-ups.
o Identify and develop the many talents within the department to secure succession planning.
o Understand the IKEA social and environmental commitments and know how you can contribute to sustainability
