As the Visual Merchandise Manager for Establishment you take the lead in the planning of new stores from refined through to detailed planning. Working closely with sales and logistic partners you will achieve a high level of commerciality in order to enhance the overall customer experience and ease of shopping. You achieve this by demonstrating how people’s every-day life at home can be improved through the way IKEA stores present individual products, series of products or combinations of products. Another of your main tasks is ensuring the visual uniqueness of the IKEA product range throughout the planning phases.
Your assignment • Ensuring that the IKEA product range presentation solutions are relevant and reflect the needs of the many people’s life at home in the regional markets. • Developing the store layout to ensure it is used to create optimal visual impact, offers a good product overview and supports the commercial priorities. This provides an easy buying process for our customers. • Securing an effective implementation of global solutions using my extensive knowledge to adapt these to our regional needs. • To deliver on multiple projects the may run parallel and take place in different countries throughout our regions • Acting as a change sponsor by creating a direction, planning, managing and coaching co-workers in understanding the “why”, so we can move from knowing to doing.
• Significant experience of working as a visual merchandiser in an IKEA store or establishment team. • A deep knowledge of IMS racking and experience in planning of new stores, re-models and SISAN • A deep passion, curiosity and understanding of home furnishing, people’s everyday life at home, visual merchan-dising, retailing and communication. • Acting as an inspiring and motivating leader who is confident in communicating and coaching backed by the ability to explain concepts and visual interpretation verbally. • Continually seeking new opportunities to make improvements in the way we work. • Ability to use my commercial and visual competence as well as a keen eye for aesthetics • Ability to multi- task and work in a fast paced and high pressure retail environment
